Great value, picture, and audio. An all round great value. February 17, 2009 This player is excellent at upconverting DVD's to 1080p. The remote is easy to use and functional. Picture and audio are great. So far it has been very impressive. My only concern is longevity. (I have been disappointed in the past with other Pioneer products.) Another plus is I bought it at Vann's for $99.
Good picture but it overheats December 21, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this about a year ago and love the picture quality. Unfortunately, this unit overheats very easily, and when it does, the audio drops in and out. We can only use this with a fan blowing directly on it.
Great value - excellent image and audio quality November 30, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This DVD player is a great value for the price, picture quality with up-scaling is great and works out as a good option of you're not ready to invest in blu-ray as yet.
Pioneer's 'Elite' series have high quality audio components as well; I was able to replace both my old DVD player and audiophile grade CD player with one unit.
Just one minor flaw (which is also the case many of the other DVD players I tried) I noticed was this player only remembers the position of the last DVD played. In contrast my older budget player bookmarked the last 20 dvd's played!
Overall, a great buy - highly recommended at the current bargain price (under one hundred at Vanns dot com).
